Halloween ‘09

This year our Halloween wasn’t anything spectacular.  Cole doesn’t enjoy dressing up very long, especially if there is a mask involved.  He loves the idea of Halloween but he would much rather observe all the other creatures of the night.

Friday, we went to Tweetsie Railroad for the Ghost Train.  It wasn’t as kid f riendly as I thought it would be.  I was actually frightened a little bit. We were walking through the ‘Freaky Forest’ when all of the sudden a werewolf jumped out and was really close to my face.  After the werewolf came a damn masked murderer with a chainsaw.  I was screaming and that made it worse for Cole.  He was so upset.  We finally talked him into riding the train and he enjoyed that.  We didn’t explore everything they had to offer because the weather was nasty and I couldn’t torture Cole anymore.  So, we headed home after about an hour and a half.  The drive home was hard because it was extremely foggy. We made it safely and we all slept deeply when we arrived home.

Cole had a sleepover at my parents house on Saturday.  He didn’t want to go out trick-or-treating because he likes to give out the candy and scare the kids when they come to the door. My mom said he scared a few kids and he really enjoyed doing that.  While, he was hanging out with my parents I went to an adult party and hung out with friends for a little while.  It wasn’t anything amazing and I was home by midnight …. because I drank too much.  Haha, I paid for it this morning and I’m definitely swearing off alcohol for the rest of my life! Haha, yeah right … I know! The weekend was fun but I’m sad that it’s over.  The days go by way too quickly!
