I have been dealing with an infection in my wisdom tooth. Basically, I don’t have room for it and plaque and things started to build up behind the tooth and it has caused a cavity along with a nice little bacterial infection. It started hurting 2 weeks ago and at first I thought it was hurting because the tooth was actually breaking through my gum. It was definitely a familiar pain so I dealt with it through the weekend. The pain gradually escalated and I couldn’t take it any longer. Monday morning I went to my dentist and he gave me the news about the infection in my wisdom tooth and informed me that I needed a crown lengthening root canal in the tooth that I broke while eating a Cheez-it. They scheduled my surgery for the root canal & my wisdom teeth extraction for Wednesday July 1st. I went to appointment mentally prepared to have this surgery that I was so terrified to have to begin with. I’m a baby when it comes to surgery and the use of anesthesia . I spent my whole beach vacation freaking out about it; only to find out they didn’t accept my insurance. I was sitting in the chair when the receptionist came in and said that I would owe $873 up front and then after insurance paid they would reimburse me the money. I was so mad. I didn’t stay for the procedure because I don’t have that kind of money lying around. Sure, I could have put it on the credit card but that would have just been one more bill I have to pay. Besides I know the insurance will pay for it and that’s just how I want to do it. I’m currently trying to find another oral surgeon that accepts my insurance or one that doesn’t make you pay the fee up front. Thankfully, the pain is bearable and I don’t have to keep pumping hydrocodone & ibuprofen into my body. All I can say at this point is thank God for penicillin. These antibiotics have been a god-send.
Stay tuned for the blog about our beach vacation. It was fantastic but not long enough!

I was sitting in Planet Hollywood eating dinner with Shawn & Cole tonight when this song started playing. I have heard this song a hundred times before but it has never moved me like it did that very moment. I looked at my husband & my son and was overcome with happiness & joy. As my heart started beating faster, I fell in love with Shawn all over again. I was reminded why I vowed to love him for the rest of my life. I looked over at Cole & my tears filled with joyful tears. I couldn’t believe I was so lucky to have such an amazing little boy be part of me. Shawn & Cole are my everything & I am truly blessed to have them in my life. I’m so thankful that I get to share my life with them. Shawn & Cole are my saving grace.
I love you forever & always.
Listen to the whole song. I hope it moves you the way it moved me!

Shawn & I bought tickets to RAW for Cole. He is a wrestling fanatic! We told him that the tickets sold out before we could get some. He had no idea until we got to the arena. He saw a few little boys dressed like Jeff Hardy and his little mind started wondering. So. Shawn told him that we were really going to see RAW and not Hockey, like we had been telling him the last few months. I was hoping for a more energetic reaction. However, he smiled and pushed his face into Shawn’s khaki shorts. He is extremely shy in crowds so I’m sure that was the reason behind his mild reaction. I was hoping to catch that excitement on video. Oh well, I saw the excitement in his eyes and that’s enough for me.
The energy & excitement that carried throughout the arena was intense. All 3 of us enjoyed ourselves very very much. I was even on the edge of my seat screaming for Jeff Hardy & John Cena. I turned into a little fan girl. HA!

Congratulations to my cousins, Brandon & Christina. They welcomed their second baby girl into the world on June 12, 2009. Campbell Lucille is absolutely precious. I loved looking at the pictures of her. I can’t wait to meet her.

This is my project for the weekend. This was previously Cole’s bedroom, complete with chalkboard paint. When he moved into his new, bigger bedroom we said we would turn this room into an office. Slowly, we started throwing things in the room and closing the door behind us. Now, that the room is filled with toys Cole doesn’t play with, Clothes we have been trying to take to Goodwill for 6 months, bills we can’t find and pictures we need to hang on the wall - I have finally decided to take some action. I am so tired of not being able to find things and having to close the door when guests come over. I will get this room in order before Monday. Here’s to staying up all night!

Friday (6/5/09) Shawn & I went to Verizon Wireless ampitheatre for the Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley & Jimmy Wayne concert. Before the concert we were able to go backstage and meet Dierks Bentley. I have always been a fan of Dierks. But, now I’m a super fan. He was absolutely fantastic. He was really nice and had a great personality (from the few minutes I met him). I had him sign an autograph for Cole and I told him how much Cole loved country music and what a country boy he was. He laughed and thought it was awesome. After we met him we headed back to our seats for his show. Jimmy Wayne had already started by the time we got back so we only saw him for a few minutes. We have already seen Jimmy, besides we can for Dierks! Dierks’ show was nothing short of a amazing. He was so energetic and he sounded even better live. I can’t wait to see him again.
We left after Dierks’ set. We didn’t want to fight the traffic and we don’t care for Brad Paisley anyway. We stopped for drinks instead and had a great time listening to the jukebox. It was so nice to have a night out with my honey. We don’t do that enough. The rest of the weekend I didn’t do a darn thing. It went by too fast. It’s only Tuesday and I’m ready for Friday already. haha.

Cole finished his year of Pre K on May 21st. He had a great year and he is excited to start Kindergarten. He’s a very bright little boy. He has gotten really great at writing his letters and numbers. He still takes every little thing in and he never forgets anything. I’m amazed every day by how much he remembers and learns. I wish my brain was still that sharp. lol.
The pool opened a few weeks ago and we have been spending alot of time there. Cole has been patiently waiting for the opening. He loves the water so much, he loves it almost as much as he loves golf. I’m so proud of how great he is at golf. We get compliments from golfers all the time. It’s fantastic. We are hopefully going to put him in a tournament this summer. He’s most definitely a little Tiger Woods!
He gets more and more hilarious every day. A couple weeks ago he pointed at our treadmill and told me to get on it. I asked him why and he said “You need to lose weight”. HA! Thanks, son!
Every night he begs me to use my lap top when I lay down with him. I always ask him why he wants me to and he always replies with “I just want you to” but I finally pestered him enough and he said “Because I like to hear you type”. I’m not sure if it’s a comfort thing or what but it was pretty darn cute.
I wish I had time to document every funny thing he said but I’m always in the wrong place when he says them and then I end up forgetting about it. I gotta get better at that.

Shawn & I went to see Zac Brown Band with some friends last night and it was probably the worst concert I’ve ever been to. I hated it. They didn’t interact with the crowd a whole lot. They just stood there and sang. That’s how I feel anyways. It could have been because they aren’t one of my favorite artists. I don’t know, I guess I got my hopes up too high! Shawn wasn’t crazy about it either. They are good in the studio, they should stick with that. The night was still filled with lots of fun & laughter.

Kira and I saw Jake Owen in concert on May 9th. It was a freaking blast!! Jake Owen puts on one hell of a show! I’d definitely go see his pretty face again! The night was even better because I got to relax and have fun with Kira. We always have an amazing time together!! It was definitely one of my favorite nights in quite some time! Next up, Zac Brown Band.
